Home Gourmet Sauces Bolognese Sauce

Bolognese Sauce

Most people enjoy Bolognese. Whilst it is a dish that most of my customer profess to make themselves, they admit that there is no consistency. Everyone's ideas are different. Too much spice, not enough spice, sugar, salt, tomato, herbs. Table B'hôte's Classic Bolognese is a consistent, easy Bolognese sauce - ready on the shelf, no chopping or peeling. Perfect!

Sauces are steamed to retain vegetable shape and flavour and contain no additives, artificial colourings or flavourings. With minimum salt and sugar, gluten free and suitable for vegetarians it's an ideal sauce for everyone.

The home cooked taste of Table B'hôte is also very convenient for busy people and families. Ready in 15 minutes, the good size 550 gram jar will feed a hungry family and kids will love it!

There are also many uses for Table B'hôte Classic Bolognese sauce - it can be used as a lasagne base, served with meatballs, or why not use as a thickener for a warming meat or chicken stew. Plus, all sauces have a long shelf life and can be frozen.

Italian approval!

For me, the greatest compliment was for Table B'hôte Classic Bolognese. While sampling, an Italian approached my table. He spoke in broken English and enquired about my products. On being told it was Bolognese, he expressed his amusement that an English lady thought she could produce an acceptable dish. After lengthy discussions about his recipe, passed down through the generations, he agreed to try a sample.

What a reaction! He purchased a jar to take to Italy to prepare for his 95 year old Grandmother. He would only tell her after the meal that the sauce was made by an English lady and she wouldn't believe him. It was well worth the 15 minute confrontation for that outcome.
